We have just become a Badlands product dealer and have just recently been added to the badlands website and I have been fond of badlands product for a while now. We are just now getting them in stock.
You guys who know me, know how much I truly enjoy going out in the woods and in seeking out God's creatures and taking them home for harvest of hunting them. One of the ways I've always done it is while wearing the BDU I was issued way back a long time ago. I usually use my Alice backpack or a little day pack I had.
After reconstructive back surgery, I decided it was time I stepped into the 21st century and go with a lighter weight more supportive backpack, I looked at a lot of packs at Shot Show and finally settled on Badlands, in part because they were lighter.
Less than six months after reconstructive back surgery I carried the Badlands back through Wyoming on a hunting trip. I walked a little over 30 miles with about 30 to 40 pounds in my new Badlands backpack.
To my surprise my back didn't bother me at all. This completely sold me on Badlands pack products, I was really happy with them.
They also have binocular cases that close magnetically, which makes very little noise when it opens and shuts. My 10 X Binos fit in this pack no problem. The harness comes with the pack as well. It's a very well made harness and Badlands warranty is amazing. The harness even has a spot in the back so you can put a water bladder in it if you're just using it for scouting. This is so much better than buying a vinyl harnesses like I've done so many times over the years. This pack actually comes with a pocket for my hunting license to. So I'll be searching for it a little bit less through my large pack. It also keeps some of weather and other things off my lenses. I'"m really happy with their products. They also make a larger bino pack if you got your grandfather's old Large binos this pack works great well. There'"s a new one coming out this year and will have two doors on it, so your rangefinder will fit underneath your binos, it'"s really well designed and thought out. Comes with the harness to so you can carry it easily pockets and the magnetic closure are a really good idea.
Badlands products have a tag listing all of the specs that goes with it.
This is a Sacrifice ls, it has air vents so you're not sweating so much It helps you stay drier and warmer on the big hunt. It's a top loading very, very light pack.
The Badlands 2200 is the one I carried through Wyoming for so long. I like the batwing design on the 2200. It allows me to put a spotting scope in a concealed or covered pouch and a tripod on the other side. It has pockets for small items. One of my favorite things about it though is not only can you carry a Side Arm with it be left or right side, but you can roll the pack around and get into the main compartment from the back of it very very simply. The extra padding it contains provides a lot of comfort. It also has a multitude of pockets for your rangefinder snack things like that. Extremely well made and has a meat shelf in it as well, which allows you to carry game meet with it as well as a rifle or boathouse rifle or bow pouch tucks into a small zippered pocket so it's invisible when you're not using it. Close the zipper on it and you can use it for a rifle. I've carried a rifle with it and that worked out well and then in the meat shelf and zips into a pocket as well rolls up along the pack getting it out of the way when not in use. The batwing straps go through and allows you to carry meat as well. Very well thought out very well designed and very light. Not everybody needs a large team pack like but I have enjoyed mine
In Oklahoma many of us hunt from a tree stand badlands has a backpack just for that. This pack allows you to have a nice small day pack. You can run through the woods with it and still carry a bow or a rifle on it and it'll hang in the tree with you with a pocket that allow you to get binoculars or rangefinders things like that out without making a lot of noise. Simply hang it from the tree and reach in and get what you need. It all folds up and closes up very neatly when you're not using it and they all have a hydration bladder for them as well. The new Dash, that just came out is extremely lightweight and still has the pouches for the side arm and rangefinder things like as well as the air vent system so that you're not getting too sweaty with it. It's extremely light and great for a day pack and would be my first choice on a short day out in the woods. It includes a space for a hydration system. It allows you to carry water with you but very light, very expandable and still carry a rifle or both.
The Diablo Dos is another well-made one. A good friend of mine uses this one and actually put an antelope inside it and carried it out of the woods. He would recommend doing it all the time, but it does work for that. Carries a lot of weight, carries it well, has a lot of pockets to allow you to stay very organized. So you know where things are at when you need them. You don't have the discomfort of trying to adjust all the time. The belt strap pulls tight and also the chest strap so you can walk all day with it without discomfort. Very well-made product. The warranty is amazing if you damage it, they will either repair it or replace it within reason. Their within reason is saying if it hooks on your bumper and you drag it a little way down the road that could still be covered under warranty. They want you to break it so they can determine how to make it better, outstanding product.
